On Sunday I made an awesome cake! It was three layers 

high! I made it because I like cake and I’ve never made a three layer high cake. I also wanted the cake to eat my class...I mean the class to eat my epic cake.

I learnt how to crack eggs properly, how to cut the cake into shapes like circles, how to sprinkle the chocolate hail and 100s and 1000s. I also learnt that it was harder to ice cake that had been cut. The problems I had were running out of cocoa for the icing and the icing was hard to spread because it was too thick (but it actually tasted  incredibly nice).

My favourite part was testing to see if the cake was ready because it wasn’t ready and the knife came out gooey and yummy.

The ingredients in my cake were: self raising flour

cocoa

butter

vanilla essence sugar

eggs

water.

Some people may not be able to eat my cake (which is a bit annoying for them) so I thought I could give them a candy cane instead.

Rocky road mountain

One evening a kid called Charlotte decided to go  For a walk on Rocky Road Mountain

Charlotte told her mum and off she went. Charlotte started climbing when she heard a noise coming from behind her Charlotte turned around and a zombie was there.

She got so frightened that she started to run up the mountain when she finally gets to the top three is a cliff. Her mother was there to. "What happened to you mum" Charlotte said.

"It doesn't matter now. I'll discuss it with you later. Right now we've got to get out of here".

"I agree" said Charlotte, so they started to defeat the zombie together. And the zombie went to jail for the rest  of the year.

The zombie was tall and green like a leaf, his eyes were deep

black like a door knob of a haunted house.

Ponies are my FAVOURITE animal. I like them because you can have fun by riding on them. But the thing that I do not really like about ponies is that you have to pick up their poo.


I have always wished to have a pony! Unfortunately my mum is allergic to them also my dad absolutely HATES ponies! I do not get how someone could hate such a pretty creature.

 
 Anyway no one can stop me from dreaming about ponies! Which I am very happy about! Do you like ponies? I hope you do! I feel sorry for you if you are allergic to ponies.

On one practical weekend  Kayla was woken up by a monstrous hammering she got up and walked outside into her glossy morning paddock. She found a man trying to open a broken down shed “what are you doing” demanded Kayla.

“I am trying to break this shed’ explained  the man. Kayla was completely bored so she went back through here glossy morning paddock and into here house. Later that day she looked out here window surprised  but mostly scared to see a unicorn falling to the ground.

Kayla ran outside and and fell to the ground beside the unicorn . Are you ok Kayla said to the unicorn fine actually said the unicorn. Jeepers said Kayla she was beside herself that the unicorn could talk. The unicorn asked Kayla if she wanted to learn to ride. Yes actually said Kayla she struggled to get onto the unicorn but she did she grabbed the reins and pulled and at the same time she held on.

Kayla loved riding the unicorn so she asked her dad if she was allowed a horse he said if you can ride Kayla lead him outside and showed him the unicorn but she wasn't there!!! Thanks to unicorn physiology for me using their photo.

In a small town named Chewy, a little girl named Poppy sat at the table chewing on some chewing gum that she picked from the supermarket. “Yum what a delicious piece of chewing gum.”

Then suddenly a big cheeseburger gobbled her up! “Ohhhhh!” As she fell down the stomach of the cheese burger.

Then suddenly BUMP!!! She landed on a soft petal of a lily pad. “Where am I?”  She said as she fell into some chilly water.

You're in Lily pad lake said a voice that was to be heard by a oldley she turned around and a turtle stood behind Poppy.

”Why thank you sir.”

Poppy swam to the shore of the lake. The lake was big it was not just any big size it was as big as the ocean but it was full of Lilly pads. “”What are you doing here SNAPPED!!! a crocodile. Poppy jumped screamed like this Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!  And ran away. I want to go back home but how can I? “Aha”! Said poppy I need to tickell the ground then he will laugh and spit me out and that's what happened!

Buddy writing: Cat and Budgie

I am a Ginger Cat and my story begins when I heard the front door shut. I knew my owners were home. I ran over to them but when I saw what they were holding I was shocked. It was a bird. A stupid, annoying bird. I hate birds very much. I will never change my mind about them.

Once my owners put the cage down on the table they started walking out of the room. I climbed onto the table then started walking up to it. "Hello." It said. I was shocked. How dare it think about talking to me, I am the boss and I will always be. "I don't know who you are but I am the boss around here so what I say, you do." I snarl.

Suddenly a big flame of fire bursted out of the kitchen. Before I knew it the whole house was on fire. I didn't know what to do. I looked back at where the bird was, but it was gone.

I jumped down of the table and tried to rush out of the front door but a large block of wood fell of the ceiling on my furry tail. I could not escape. I was stuck. I thought I was going to die. When all of a sudden the bird swooped in, lifted the piece of wood of my tail. It saved me. I could not believe it!

We both rushed out of the house and was safe and sound. "Why did you save me?" I asked  in confusion. "I wanted to be your friend." It replied.

Anzac Day is celebrated by Australians and New Zealanders all over the word. It is not a time to glorify war but to remember the sacrifice of our soldiers.

Who:

WW1 didn't just affect the Anzacs but the whole country. 15 year olds and over went to war. Women were called land girls they had ration books. one of the battles of WW1 war between the Anzacs and the German allies 25th april 1914 gallipoli turkey 1000's of Anzacs and German allies died. Anzac day is  celebrated by the people of nz and australia. It is not a time to glorify war but to remember the sacrifice of our soldiers.

Battle:one of the most devastating battles of  WW1 was the Anzac  against the German allies on 25th april 1914 the Anzacs soldiers landed on the beach at Gallipoli. Their purpose was to take over this part of turkey to help with the war against Germany but the turks  and Germans were positioned on the cliffs and shot the Anzacs as they landed thousands of soldiers were killed and engaged although we lost the battle we remembered  Anzacs Day every year we we do this because australian and new Zealand soldiers fought bravely for us.

Parade:

at dawn all over nz and Australia 25th april people gathered and remembered the Anzacs young and old people come to the Anzac Day parade like st john, families, services, the families sometimes wear their medal there great grandad that they wear with pride they wear poppies the dawn parade you would have to to sing the national anthem and 1 min silents. it is in bertent to combiner les we forget from our Anzacs war should be no more

THE  BEGGAR  STORY

Once upon a time an old beggar lady who only talked rhymes, went into a children’s book shop and this is what she said ‘ I need two kids that act like pigs to give me some money because I am very funny’.

Two kids stepped ford, ‘what are your names cuz  you will play my games’. the old beggar women said

‘Hi I am Timmy and I am Tommy and who are you exactly?’

‘Oh me you’ll see don’t bother me now I’m a bit of a cow you will find a clue of why I talk to you in rhymes when the clock strikes 3 times.’ Said the beggar woman.

Tick tick tick the clock struck  3 times ‘ I know a farmer with a pet banana, who lives in Botswana, i hope you don’t mind cause he’s  really kind, but don’t kick his behind he’ll get really angry, so just give him some candy, if you don’t ’have some he will smack your bum he do it very lightly, but the next time he will do it mighty’.

Give me some candy old lady said Timmy and Tommy at the same time.

This is what me and my ako buddy edited like we highlighted my target blue which was to explain the first part of my paragraph. We also tried to fix my spelling and we put some more full stops in to this writing peace.   

Ballet Point shoes - Tegan and Poppy

When I went to my  friends house I  tried  on some ballet Point Shoes. Advanced ballet dancers use them. My friend said they are highly recommended to use for standing on your tippy toes. You use them for ballet performances. They are good for very special ballet dances.

 I love them so much because in other shoes it is hard to stand on point because you couId hurt your feet and toes or scuff your shoes. I would never  take  them outside otherwise they will get ruined. I took care of them at my friends house and  now I want some for my own but I think they don’t have them in my size.

The Point Shoes come in a peachy color or a black jazz color.

When I went to my  friends house I  tried  on  point Shoes. you can stand on the tip of your toes. You use them for ballet. They are good for  ballet you also use them for  dance.

Yesterday I found a baby dragon outside on my front door step. It was curled up like a tiny ball. It was the colour of a little grey rock. I picked it up and his little talons dug deep into my skin.

Today was pet day and I didn't have anything so I decided to bring this tiny dragon. I gently hid him in my bag so Mum wouldn't see and headed off to school.

When I got to school all of my friends were scared of my baby dragon. When mum came to school to look around she saw the dragon. She was shocked! She didn’t know what to say. All I knew was that she wouldn't let me keep it!

What is Adaptable?

Check out one idea of what adaptable might be. Can we think of some more things it would look, sound and feel like?

School should stay the same - five days a week!

Do you want your child to learn heaps? We think that school should be for five days a week so that children can help each other learn and make it university. If you have to do school five days a week we think your child will ok so what you think develop better social skills than at home

The most important reason you should send your child to school for five days a week is that they will have time to focus and practise. If there were only three days, then in three days you would have to make days longer and you would get tired and not learn enough because you can not focus on work and you will have a snooze instead so vote five days a week for school.

Secondly, it is really important to send your child to school every day because children can help each other to do stuff and work as a team everyday except Saturday and Sunday (weekend).

So if you want your child to know their knowledge and go to university, then send them five days a week to school!

We Should Not have Three Days Of School a Week

Don’t you want your kid to have a good job and go to school for 5 days a week not 3 days a week.  

To begin with we want to get a good job don’t we.

Imagine walking home from work in dirty rubbish clothes, that hardly holds itself up, and is too small for you. Plus you are only getting a check of $ 2 a day.  I would rather go to school for 5 days a week instead of having that type a life wouldn’t you?

Also your sleep overs will clash, Imagine your best friend lives in town and you have not seen him/her in ages and your aching to see them but you both have different school day, because she/he goes Monday, Tuesday,

Wednesday and you go Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Just remember that we all love sleepovers, and good jobs that make lots of money don’t we? Three days of school might sound fun, but it could affect your learning.

Are your kids sick of sitting at school for hours as bored as if they were watching paint dry? Every intelligent person knows that learning happens everywhere, not just at school! Children should only go to school for three days a week because...

The most important reason for sending your child to school for only three days is they can learn life lessons like washing the shower, car, windows, boat, dusting and vacuum cleaning and other important things for when they grow up as an adult.

Another important reason is that they won’t have to spend so much money on stationery, writing, reading, and maths books and a device for each kid.  

If you want your child to learn sports and spend time with family? Then send them to school for only three days a week.

School for three days a week only debate

I believe school should not be three days a week because it is impossible for kids to learn at home because they will be distracted by pets, television, brothers or sisters and including play fight. If they are  Home Schooled, learning is harder because they will rely on parents to give easy work,

longer breaks, junk food lunch, video game time and fun trips.

The teachers will get paid less because they are only teaching three days a week at one place. They may not want to be a teacher and want to get another job.

Another really important reason to send your child to school for days a week is because they can learn heaps more. Just think if you pulled out all the break times you will have less time for learning.

If your child feels like they never gets any energy, you should send your kids to school five days a week.
