How can you be persistent?

One of the focuses for Kepler this term is persistence, and the importance of pushing through when you want to give up on a challenge.

Today we used a Survivor-style challenge to test our powers of persistence.

The students were put into groups and were asked to complete a three-part challenge.

First they had to climb up the pirate net and retrieve 4 coloured bands.
Once they had finished this they moved to a beanbag toss challenge.

Finally, they had to complete a spot-the-difference - the mental part of the challenge. This was the part that really tested them. It was very difficult and required real persistence. They all did remarkably well and every group completed the puzzle.

We hope to use this experience as a touchstone as we work to improve our perserverence through the term and all of 2018.
